GAS TRAINING CHAMBER
METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION USING ANDERSON SHELTER PARTS AND OTHER SALVAGED MATERIALS
Site, Floor Foundations
Prepare and level site to receive concrete floor. Excavate for wall Foundations as shown on drawing. Concrete to be PCC 4:2:1 mix. Floor to be float finished. Alternatively the floor could be formed in old concrete paving slabs on clinker bedding. Foundation for Anderson sheet walls to be poured after setting smaller 'D" sheets carefully to Line and level.
The chamber should be not less than 60 feet from the nearest occupied building, public street or place.
All horizontal joints to be packed before bolting up with tarred hemp, mastic strip or other suitable packing.
Build cross walls to Inner curves of corrugated sheets in 4 1/2" salvaged brickwork In motar.
Windows and Doors
Provide glazed steel casement (opening) window and Doors or similar, and doors as show. Outer door to be fitted with lock. Doors and window to be salvaged material If Possible.
Woodwork to be twice creosoted. Interior to be distempered.
