5th Rainbow Guides (Primetime)

2nd Rainbow Guides (Methodists)

Rainbow Guides started in 1987, and are the youngest members of Girl guiding UK. They are aged between 5 and 7 years.

Any girl over the age of 5 can become a Rainbow Guide as long as she is able to understand and wants to make the Rainbow Guide Promise.

Promise – I will do my best to love my God and to be kind and helpful.

Rainbows is about fun. They play games, paint, make things. They listen to stories and sing songs.  They are kind and helpful and learn lots of new things.

Rainbows wear a tabard in a colour of the rainbow. All the unit wear the same colour.

When a girl is 7 she can ‘move up’ to Brownies.

There are 2 known Rainbow troops, meeting at the Rishton Methodists school, and at Primetime on Stourton Street.
