This starts at the Rishton/Wilpshire boundary, at the side of the dam to Parsonage reservoir, where the brook runs up to it.

The path travels South up the hill to Middle Mickeyhey Farm.

Meeting FP15

Here it meets footpath 15, and crosses it to continue in a Southerly direction.

Heading South

Heading South down the edge of the field, after climbing a second stile, the path comes out on Blackburn Old Road.

On its way to the road it passes new woodland, and resides in a track on its own.

At the road side

Here the path crosses over the road and enters the field on the opposite side of the road.

Looking South

Over the stile here and straight away, off to the left heads Footpath 12 to Windy Bank Farm, where it meets footpath 31.

Carrying on South down the hill, is the route of footpath 5.

Going South

The next stile down the hill is where the tree is in the middle of the field.

The interesting item to note about this section of footpath are the way markers, which are marked by a picture of clogs.

Field stile with clog marker

The path follows the side of the fields from this stile, to another stile at the edge of the next field.

In the distance

Beyond this stile in Lower Sidebeet farm, but before, just visable crossing the field is footpath 8. Heading to the west to Higher Cunliffe farm, and Lower Cunliffe farm to the East.

Once at Sidebeet farm, the path joins the farm track, which can be seen as a line of trees in the distance in the above picture.

The track and footpath continue over the canal, then the railway, to Blackburn Road, following Sidebeet Lane near Whitebirk.
