Starting from Wilpshire Roa, opposite footpath 14, the path leads all the way to Whitebirk in Blackburn.
The path rounds the brick wall slightly, following the edge of the field, to the next field boundary.
Here it crosses footpath 10 which leads to the New Inns public house in one direction, and down past Tan House Farm, and Cunliffe Farm, and across the field to Lee Lane, ducking under the old Great Harwood railway line.
The path carries on after this junction to Blackburn Old Road. This run through a custom made section of field, bound on both sides by a fence and wall creating a corridor to the road.
Once at Blackburn Old Road, the path crosses over and continues over a cattle grid, but before this at the end of the corridor a new bench was placed at the roadside, for walkers and ramblers to rest their weary legs. This bench was placed here by this website in conjunction with Rishton PROSPECTS panel.
The path goes behind Heights House farm, situated just off Blackburn Old Road, and heads towards Little Harwood, following the farm track to Mickey Hey Farms.
This track gives nice views over Wilpshire, and Wilpshire Reservoir.
The tracks drops down slightly towards the remains of Mickhey North Farm, before arriving at the entrance to Middle Mickyhey.
At Middle Mickyhey Farm, the path traverses footpath 5.
This leads back to Blackburn Old Road in a Southerly direction, and down past the farm to Knotts Brook and the dam to Wilpshire Reservoir, where, at the stream boundary, it becomes footpath 23 in Wilpshire.
From here the path crosses the boundary into Blackburn, passing Ediholes.
From the above the path crosses the field to the pylon seen in the distance.
