What? Another I hear you all cry? How many reservoirs does Rishton want!!!!

This one was on the South Eastern side of Rishton, as close as you can get to Church and Oswaldtwistle.

Once again the river was dammed up to stop the flow of water, this river carried on to meet the River Hyndburn before travelling past the Dunkenhalgh and Paper Mill.

At the moment I have no idea what the reservoir was used for, the reservoir was only there for a short length of time, and may not have been used for Rishton people at all, being so close to the boundaries.

The river that was used to dam is the boundary between Rishton and Church. This means that half the reservoir was in Rishton and the other half in Church.

The river still runs through the bottom of the reservoir to this day.

At the Rishton end (the Northern end) of the reservoir was a quarry, and there are still traces of its location today despite localised dumping.
