Haworth Street in May 2001.

At the top of Haworth Street, at its junction with Station Road, once stood the Police Station. Although the force has been long gone, the building still remains, and is now used by the Lancashire County Council for needy children.

The stone wall on the right of this picture is part of the rear yard to the police station.

Haworth street is split in the middle by Mary Street, and Eachill Road, before reaching its conclusion at Walmsley Street.

This pictures looks up Haworth Street from Walmsley Street, towards Blackburn.

On the left was the former premises of the Salvation army, and on the right a corner shop.

Looking at a photo of Haworth Street from years gone, the street hasn’t changed a bit. Since its original construction the houses have been painted, and the road tarmac. Some of the buildings have changed their use, but little else.
