The street is part tarmac and part cobbled. It sits at the top of Harwood road, on the crest of the brow, before Harwood road dips again to Lee Lane.
The street is named after Arundel Castle, which is owned by the Duke of Norfolk, most of the side streets off Harwood Road have some connection with the Duke of Norfolk who married into the Petres of the Dunkenhalgh.
