Although only a small street, and partly covered with tarmac, the sets that remain are still complete.
The street does nothing more than lead to the recreational park.
The original gate posts for the wrought iron gates still stand, but the railings and wrought iron gate have long since been removed. There is a possibility that they were removed as iron for the war effort at the start of the 2nd World War.
There are no houses on it, and to stop people using the back alley to turn their cars around from the nearby Saint Peters and Saint Paul’s school, the back streets have had bollards placed across them.
Hartington Street can be found running off Harwood Road.
